DESCRIPTION:The Como-Harriet Streetcar Line offers 15-20 minute nostalgic rides between scenic Lakes Harriet and Bde Maka Ska.  Step back in time when streetcars were Queens of the city — when Twin Citians went to work\, to school\, and to play by trolley! After your trip back in time\, enjoy the beauty of Lake Harriet\, part of Minneapolis’ famed Chain of Lakes. You’ll find lakeside refreshments\, picnic grounds\, ducks to feed\, and a concert by the Minnesota Freedom Band.  This ride is operated by and for our family.

DESCRIPTION:Kick-off your PRIDE week with a FREE outdoor concert featuring the MN Freedom Concert & Jazz Bands! This delightful evening of music will be held OUTDOORS at the beautiful Lake Harriet Bandshell\, weather permitting. For your comfort\, you may want to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on\, water\, bug spray\, and sun screen. The 40+ piece Freedom Concert Band will lead off the program\, followed by the 20+ piece Freedom Jazz Band\, for an enjoyable evening of toe-tapping fun! \nNow wrapping up its 40th season\, the Minnesota Freedom Band is a Twin Cities-based non-profit community band comprised of Gay\, Lesbian\, Bisexual\, Transgender\, and Allied (GLBTA) volunteers. We are committed to presenting quality performances\, providing opportunities for our members to improve musicianship\, and gathering to build relationships with each other and with our community.
