SUMMARY:RUSTIN - Celebrate Black History Month with OutFront Minnesota
DESCRIPTION:BLACK HISTORY MONTH SCREENING • WEDNESDAY\, FEBRUARY 21 AT 7:00PM\nUse code RUSTIN24 for a discount on tickets! \nJoin MSP Film Society and OutFront Minnesota for a special Black History Month screening of Rustin\, followed by a community conversation.\nThe architect of 1963’s momentous March on Washington\, Bayard Rustin was one of the greatest activists the world has ever known. He challenged authority\, never apologized for who he was\, what he believed\, or who he desired. He made history\, and in turn\, he was forgotten. \nStarring Oscar-Nominated actor Colman Domingo\, RUSTIN shines a long overdue spotlight on the extraordinary man who\, alongside giants like the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.\, and Ella Baker\, dared to imagine a different world\, and inspired a movement in a march toward freedom.

SUMMARY:Cara Connors: Live at the Comedy Corner Underground Minneapolis!
DESCRIPTION:Comedian Cara Connors (Just for Laughs\, Dating #NoFilter on Hulu\, Apple TV) returns to the Comedy Corner Underground after back-to-back sold-out shows last winter. With support by the incredible Sam Schedler \nIn 2023\, Cara filmed her first one-hour comedy special at the El Portal Theater in Los Angeles with Comedy Dynamics\, made her Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut at the Pleasance Courtyard\, and released her stand-up album\, Straight for Pay\, which was named one of Paste Magazine’s best comedy albums of 2023. \n“Hilariously acerbic. Connors’ vocal elasticity is truly a wonder\, immediately bringing to mind Adam Sandler’s goofy impressions. At other moments\, hearing Connors deliver a line in a strange\, high-pitched manner makes you feel like you’ve been dropped into a Broad City episode and Ilana’s doing a bit.“ Paste Magazine \n“Part Sandra Bernhard\, Part Kristen Wiig\, Part intangible\, undeniable charm… she’s a blast and a half who deserves to rock it into stardom.“ The Comics Comic \nA headliner at comedy shows across Los Angeles\, Cara also hosts a popular weekly queer showcase and has developed a cult following with her unique brand of high energy\, self-effacing\, and unapologetically fearless comedy.
