SUMMARY:Poetry Reading in Queer Conversation with Emily Dickinson with Rosa Lane
DESCRIPTION:Rosa Lane\, queer poet\, will read from her 4th poetry collection\, Called Back\, a title memorializing the last two words Emily Dickinson wrote\, winner of the 2025 Maine Literary Poetry Book Award. Her poems give voice to the LGBTQ+ dimension of one of America’s greatest poets\, which draws from most recent research by Dickinson scholars. Pulitzer finalist Henri Cole had this to say about Called Back: “What marvelous\, feral\, eccentric\, sweetly erotic poems [that]…illuminate–with electrifying language –the shadows of human love.” [www.rosalane.com]. Stephen Haven will join Rosa and read from his latest work\, The Flight from Meaning\, which contains meditations on American History\, on the nature of religion in our time\, and on racism and its legacy in the post-Civil Rights era. Narrow doorways and hallways as it is a 1950s house. There is an upstairs bathroom and downstairs bathroom. Patio out back to get some fresh air. \nThe movie will be shown downstairs on a projector. DESCRIPTION:Tea Time is a peer support network for trans femme identifying individuals living in the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota. The mission of Tea Time is to offer safer spaces for trans femme folks\, a highly vulnerable and stigmatized population. SUMMARY:Movement\, Breath\, & Meditation class for people who love and support their gender-expansive loved ones
DESCRIPTION:When someone we love shares more of who they truly are\, it changes the people around them too. Over the past four months\, Kesha (she/her/ella)\, a parent to a gender-expansive adult child\, has been holding an 8-week group for parents\, guardians\, chosen family\, and friends. \nIn this small\, relational space\, participants explore simple movement\, breath\, and rest practices while tending to their own shifting experiences. It’s not about performance\, expectation\, or “fixing” anything\, it’s about noticing\, connecting\, and being with others walking a similar path. \nThe next group begins November 15\, 2025. If you or someone you know might benefit\, Kesha welcomes questions and conversation. \nThis is a space built on care\, listening\, and shared humanity\, one that grows from the courage of gender-expansive folks and the communities that support them. \n8-week series \nDates: 11/15\, 11/22\, no class 11/29\, 12/6\, 12/13\, 12/20\, no class 12/27\, 1/3\, 1/10\, 1/17 \nSaturdays 3:00-4:40P Central \nAll sessions are virtual  \nCost: $80 for series\, no one will be turned away for financial reasons \nRequired before 11/14: Brief 15-20 minute intake to connect and go over any questions or physical considerations.

SUMMARY:Gathered In Love: An Interfaith Service of Trans Solidarity
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Trans Solidarity Service\, a multifaith gathering affirming the sacredness of trans and nonbinary lives. On Tuesday\, December 9\, 2025\, people from across Minnesota are invited to come together at Creekside United Church of Christ (106 E Diamond Lake Road\, Minneapolis) to proclaim a message of love\, courage\, and belonging. This service will include music\, poetry\, and reflections from trans and BIPOC faith leaders\, clergy\, and community members across traditions. Together\, we’ll teach\, organize\, and be visible in our commitment to trans dignity and inclusion!  \nThe service will be free and open to all\, with a livestream option for those joining from outside the Twin Cities.  \nMasks will be required (barring a medical need) for this event and will be available on site.
