DESCRIPTION:Celebrate 50 Years with Minnesota’s oldest Queer Feminist Chorus this spring. Calliope Women’s Chorus has been around since 1976 as the second-oldest feminist treble choir in the country and the oldest group in the Twin Cities’ Queer Music Consortium.For 50 years\, we have been helping marginalized voices be heard and amplifying messages of social justice while providing a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to make music together. This spring we’re celebrating Gender\, Friendship\, and Legacy throughout our run as a choir. We’ve grown and changed so much over the years and we’d love to have you with us.

DESCRIPTION:Over these past two years we have faced national attacks against our trans community and increased rhetoric against the LGBTQ+ community. Simultaneous attacks on our immigrant and BIPOC neighbors have resulted in fear—but also incredible determination and solidarity from our communities in response. \nMinnesota is holding the line against these attacks. \nOutFront Minnesota’s gala returns to the origins of Minneapolis’ queer community in the historic Gateway District as a reminder that we have seen these attacks before\, and they do not work—our community is resilient.
