SUMMARY:Rochester Pride
DESCRIPTION:Due to the current high community transmission rates of COVID-19\, the Rochester Pride Board of Directors has made the decision to reschedule our Rochester Pride Celebration until May 21st\, 2022. \nAlthough it is with a heavy heart that we make this announcement\, this was a unanimous decision made by our 13 member board after carefully reviewing the COVID-19 statistics for Olmsted County and the surrounding area. \nSince our founding in 2019\, the main objective of Rochester Pride has been to make an inclusive and family friendly event to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ community. Ultimately\, our board decided that the only way to fulfill that vision is to wait until people of all ages have had the opportunity to be vaccinated against COVID-19. \nDespite our disappointment at having to reschedule\, we are still hard at work making sure that we can put on a fabulous event next spring. We ask that everyone in the community does their part now to ensure a safe event can happen by masking up and getting vaccinated. \nWe look forward to seeing everyone in May for “Rochester Pride 2021 in ’22” 🏳️‍🌈

SUMMARY:Perfect Arrangement at Theatre in the Round
DESCRIPTION:Perfect Arrangement\n\nby Topher Payne\ndirected by Alissa Blaeser\nJune 3 – June 26\, 2022\n\nIt’s 1950\, and new colors are being added to the Red Scare. Two U.S. State Department employees\, Bob and Norma\, have been tasked with identifying sexual deviants within their ranks. There’s just one problem: Both Bob and Norma are gay\, and have married each other’s partners as a carefully constructed cover. Inspired by the true story of the earliest stirrings of the American gay rights movement\, madcap classic sitcom-style laughs give way to provocative drama as two “All-American” couples are forced to stare down the closet door.

SUMMARY:Pride on TV Trivia at 10k Brewing
DESCRIPTION:Trivia Mafia is celebrating Pride Month with a trivia night dedicated to LGBTQ television all throughout June! We’re witnessing a golden age of diverse queer representation today\, but it didn’t happen overnight. So in addition to highlighting today’s creators and characters\, we’ll pay tribute to the trailblazers that paved the way. \nSo break out your Pride flag\, pop up some popcorn\, and get ready to binge-answer this slate of questions! Whether you fell in love with Willow and Tara in the ‘90s\, were glued to the screen whenever someone shouted “Omar comin’!” in the 2000s\, or spent the last decade saving the day with the Crystal Gems\, we’ll have something for you to celebrate! \n\n\nTrivia starts promptly on time\, so make sure to get to your location a bit early and discuss which of your favorite show’s characters absolutely should’ve been written as queer were it not for cowardly showrunners. \n\n\nTeams are limited to six — perfect for anyone who’s needed the assistance of a Fab Five! \n\n\nAll of our locations use the Trivia Mafia App for running theme nights\, so bring a fully-charged phone or risk having to sashay away mid-game. \n\n\nThe same questions will run at all locations\, so don’t be disappointed when you try to double dip and discover that we’re “Pose”-ing the same questions. \n\n\nUse your noodle\, not your Google. All cheaters will be asked to take Oscar’s seat next to Angela for the rest of the night.
