Participants from the Rainbow Health community collaborated with Theatre 55 Director\, Richard Hitchler\, and teaching artist\, Maria Asp\, to create monologues about their lived experiences and a quilt that expresses the joy of life and living.

The exhibit details queer resistance\, love\, and identity formation amid the evolution of downtown through the 20th century. \nThe exhibit features sites where queer people found or created community while addressing the systemic challenges of legal and extralegal discrimination\, urban renewal\, and HIV/AIDS. It is part of an ongoing partnership between Twin Cities Pride and the Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS). It is inspired by the Twin Cities LGBTQ+ History Tours developed by TC Pride and MNHS in 2022. \nA cash bar will be available and free appetizers. Musical experience will be curated by DJ Michel.Be. The event and exhibit will be located in the museum’s central Mill Commons\, and the exhibit is free and open to the public during regular museum hours through October 8\, 2023. \nThis event is free. SUMMARY:Queer Women's Pride Dance
DESCRIPTION:This is a dance for lesbian\, bisexual\, transgender\, butch/femme/androgynous\, & queer women\, non-binary friends (who used to be thought of as female) and our heterosexual women friends who are cool with all of the aforementioned cast of characters!  Come and dance! Rainbow/Pride attire encouraged but not required.  The queer place to be is the Eagles Club #34\, 2507 E. 25th Street\, Minneapolis! There is free parking in the back lot or on the street. $10 cash cover\, with DJ K. Shay to keep us dancing!  Chair massage will be available from a licensed massage therapist for $1 a minute.  Plus photo booth fun for Pride!   Food and drinks are available for purchase from the Eagles restaurant.       Sober friends please note: we have a mostly private dance hall within the club and away from the bar.  There is no “2 drink minimum” required. This is NOT an event where  attendees typically over indulge in alcohol.
