DESCRIPTION:Join us at Pax Christi Catholic Community to watch & discuss Wonderfully Made — LGBTQ+R(eligion)\, a combined fine art project and feature-length documentary that strikes at the root of anti-LGBTQ+ attitudes by exploring the challenges and aspirations of LGBTQ+ Catholics. The message\, however\, applies to any religious tradition that does not fully embrace our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters. \nAt the screening\, we will be joined by the producer of the documentary\, Mark McDermott\, who will answer audience questions and foster a discussion. We believe this documentary screening will be an exciting opportunity for community\, dialogue\, and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community in and outside of Christianity.

DESCRIPTION:PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY TO THE END… \nThis is an all inclusive\, family friendly event geared towards all ages. Everyone is responsible for their own safety & parents are solely responsible for the safety of their children. That being said I’ve had many people join me on the water over the yrs including younger children & even adults that can’t swim\, all have successfully survived the adventure & had a blast doing it. =) No kayaking experience necessary for this lil adventure\, you just need a desire to have fun on the water. \nWe will be launching from Interstate Park & paddling to Osceola Landing. This is typically a 3 – 4 hr paddle/float. \nFor those wanting to carpool we will meet behind Newman’s Bar in N St Paul at 9am & depart promptly at 9:30. \nhttp://www.neumannsbar.com/ \nStragglers are on your own so set your alarms & be on time. We will arrive at Interstate Park at 10:30 & paddles wet at 11am. Note… There is a fee if you do not have a state park permit. Motorcycles are also welcome to join\, Taylor’s Falls is a fun lil jaunt on 2 wheels. \nFor those needing to rent a kayak I highly recommend that you book in advance… \nCanoe & Kayak Rentals \n \nFor those bringing your own kayak please post a comment & we can coordinate transport with others who have room\, my trk is already fully loaded. I will have a vehicle at Osceola Landing to help transport people with their own boats back to Interstate Park. \nPlease bring a sandwich or snacks & plenty of water to stay hydrated. SMALL COOLERS ONLY. There are typically several awesome sand bars to stop & mingle\, this totally depends on the water level tho. I DO NOT encourage bringing alcoholic beverages on the water\, but I’m not your momma either. Please\, please be responsible with your drinking as I do not want to do any water rescues. \nInvite your friends\, family\, neighbors\, & bring your pup along if they kayak with you as well. Let’s make some awesome memories together. =) \n\n\nNOTE… I set the time as 9am – 5pm so you can plan from the time you leave the cities until you get back to the cities. We’re only on the water for about 4 hrs. 🌞

He transposes experimental practices to narrative stories\, addressing how contemporary audiences consume live performance. He has worked onstage at the Guthrie Theater\, Theatre Latté Da\, Children’s Theatre Company\, The Playwrights’ Center and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. He has worked offstage at The Great Northern\, The Public Theater\, the Guthrie Theater and the Contemporary American Theater Festival. Engh was awarded grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board (2024-2025)\, Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (2023-2024)\, and Tri-M Foundation (2023). \nGrant Sorenson (Director) is currently pursuing his MFA in Directing at Boston University\, where he has directed The Hot L Baltimore and anon(ymous). Originally from Minneapolis\, MN\, his directing credits include work at the Guthrie’s Dowling Studio\, Open Eye Theatre\, Crane Theater\, Maison Bodega\, 7th House Theater\, Everwood Farmstead\, Wayzata Theatre\, Minnesota Fringe Festival\, and more. Prior to his career as a director\, Grant studied and worked as an actor for over 20 years (he started very young.)
