SUMMARY:Queer Movie Night: T-BLOCKERS
DESCRIPTION:Time Travelers Public House Presents: \n  \nQueer Movie Night \n  \nFREE!!! Message us for the address!! @timetravelerspublichouse on Instagram. \n  \nMovie: “T-BLOCKERS” A Trans horror film by Alice Maio Mackay \n  \nCourtesy of: Dark Star Pix \n  \nJoin Queer Movie Night as we heal ourselves from queer erasure and misrepresentation in media by watching movies made for us by us. \n  \nThank you Dark Star Pix for helping make this happen!! \n  \n  \n  \nWe will be meeting at 6pm if you want to hang out and get settled in early. Movie starts at 6:30pm. \n  \nThis will be hosted downstairs in a basement at a residential home in Brooklyn Center. Shown a projector with a large bean bag and comfy floor spot seats available. Chairs and earplugs available on request. Located in Brooklyn Center. Message us for the address!! \n  \nCertified 100% fresh on rotten tomatoes\, written and directed by a 19 year old trans woman and with only a budget of $10k. This B Movie has been called a grungier gayer version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Stranger Things with a touch of John Waters. \n  \nSummary: \n“When ancient parasites that thrive on hatred rise from beneath a small town\, taking the most fearful and susceptible as hosts\, a young trans filmmaker struggling to transition in increasingly hostile times for LGBTQ+ people\, finds herself the only one who can sense the possessed\, and rally the resistance before the horror escapes and spreads.” \n  \n“T-Blockers is a cry of solidarity for the queers\, the women\, the addicts\, the mentally ill\, and\, especially\, the transfems. It is a love letter to the loud\, proud\, noncompliant freaks who are just trying to live their lives\, and it is exactly what the world needs right now.” \n-HorrorBuzz

SUMMARY:ThriftCon
DESCRIPTION:ThriftCon is a celebration of vintage clothing and collectibles plucked straight out the ’70s through to the 2000s. In each city\, 140+ premier vintage clothing and collectible vendors gather to exhibit their stores and wide ranging collections in a buy-sell-trade party format. \nThink of ThriftCon as the greatest flea market you’ve ever been to … and then some. Each vendor occupies a space in the event\, which acts as their temporary personal storefront for the day. And because of the wide variety of people into the secondhand and vintage scene\, every booth is completely different based on the vendor’s unique curation style and personal interests. \nThriftCon Vendors spend countless hours sourcing the pieces they choose to sell at ThriftCon\, so it’s best not to completely expect “thrift store prices” at every booth you walk into. Many pieces are highly collectible\, which is reflected in the sticker price. However\, there are countless pieces that are still incredibly affordable\, some even starting at $1. According to guest and vendor surveys\, most of the items purchased generally range in the $10-$50 price\, depending on what that particular shopper was looking for. \nFounded in 2019 by co-founders Mars Conte\, David Bywater and Ken Meade\, ThriftCon was first hosted exclusively in the streets of Denver\, Colorado but has since extended to every corner of the country.
