The Duluth Yacht Club and Trans Northland are collaborating to raise funds and awareness in memory of Kai Hoenig. Kai was an avid sailor, rock climber, theater tech, and robotics team member.
Friday, September 12, 6:00 pm, Earth Eider Brewery Fest Grounds in Superior, WI there will be a community social event with a raffle, games, and live music from Sophie Hiroko, the 2025 Trampled by Turtles Palomino Grant recipient. This is a free, all-ages event focused on fun, community building, and raising money for Trans Northland.
Saturday, September 13, 11:00 am, on Lake Superior there will be a memorial sail boat race. Boats can “buy up” their handicap rating by donating additional funds, all of which will go to Trans Northland. Awards party to follow at The Caddy Shack in Duluth.
