About Us

Our Mission

Empower every LGBTQIA2S+ person to live as their true self.

Our Vision

A future where all LGBTQIA2S+ people are valued and celebrated for who they are.

Our Values

Transparency – We value the trust held in the Twin Cities Pride organization. As we grow, so will our efforts to identify areas for improvement. This will include, but not be limited to, our programming and our communications. We will always seek the truth and expect the same from our partners.

Inclusion – We value the strength and power in our collective self. Our goal is to make an inclusive, accessible, and safe space for all LGBTQIA2S+ people and their allies. Through the scope and diversity of our programming, we encourage everyone to feel empowered to express their true authentic self.

Education – We value continuous learning as an organization. Our efforts will include sharing our generational knowledge and ongoing evolution as a people and a movement. We will create awareness on current issues, and we promise to grow to be better leaders within the LGBTQIA2s+ Pride movement.

Respect – We value and respect the different perspectives of our stakeholders. We promise to listen and strive to create an environment of understanding, to amplify each of our voices, and forge a path forward as a unified group.

Who We Are

Twin Cities Pride is one of the largest LGBTQIA+ Pride organizations in the United States, rooted in the vibrant and diverse communities of the Twin Cities and beyond. We are proud to host the annual Twin Cities Pride Festival and Parade, along with a variety of events throughout the year that bring people together, promote awareness, and celebrate the richness of LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences.

Our Programs and Events

While Pride Month is the highlight of our year, our commitment extends far beyond June. From Family Fun Day and the Rainbow Run 5K to the Artist in Residence Program and our inclusive Rainbow Wardrobe, we strive to create spaces and opportunities that uplift, educate, and engage our community.

We also provide year-round support to local LGBTQIA+ individuals and businesses through initiatives like job fairs, youth programs, and advocacy efforts.

Our History

Twin Cities Pride began as a humble protest for LGBTQIA+ rights and has grown into a celebration of resilience, visibility, and love. For over 50 years, we’ve honored the progress we’ve made while recognizing the work that still needs to be done.
