Certified 100% fresh on rotten tomatoes, written and directed by a 19 year old trans woman and with only a budget of $10k. This B Movie has been called a grungier gayer version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Stranger Things with a touch of John Waters.
Summary:
“When ancient parasites that thrive on hatred rise from beneath a small town, taking the most fearful and susceptible as hosts, a young trans filmmaker struggling to transition in increasingly hostile times for LGBTQ+ people, finds herself the only one who can sense the possessed, and rally the resistance before the horror escapes and spreads.”
“T-Blockers is a cry of solidarity for the queers, the women, the addicts, the mentally ill, and, especially, the transfems. It is a love letter to the loud, proud, noncompliant freaks who are just trying to live their lives, and it is exactly what the world needs right now.”
