Due to the current high community transmission rates of COVID-19, the Rochester Pride Board of Directors has made the decision to reschedule our Rochester Pride Celebration until May 21st, 2022.
Although it is with a heavy heart that we make this announcement, this was a unanimous decision made by our 13 member board after carefully reviewing the COVID-19 statistics for Olmsted County and the surrounding area.
Since our founding in 2019, the main objective of Rochester Pride has been to make an inclusive and family friendly event to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ community. Ultimately, our board decided that the only way to fulfill that vision is to wait until people of all ages have had the opportunity to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Despite our disappointment at having to reschedule, we are still hard at work making sure that we can put on a fabulous event next spring. We ask that everyone in the community does their part now to ensure a safe event can happen by masking up and getting vaccinated.
We look forward to seeing everyone in May for “Rochester Pride 2021 in ’22” 🏳️🌈
