Queer and Disabled: An LGBTQIA+ Online Community Conversation

January 12 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Queerness and Disability carry a lot of overlap — both invite us into the work of owning our unique identity, fighting normative assumptions, and advocating for true inclusivity in both personal and public spaces.

At this online community listening session we’ll explore the joys and challenges of being both disabled and queer. We’ll discuss our hopes and dreams for the queer disability community, and even talk about accessibility and barriers in LGBTQIA+ organizing — and how we’d like to see things change.

Come to feel heard and seen, to connect with others, and to envision a better future for queer disabled Minnesotans!

This event is for anyone who self identifies as both LGBTQIA+ and also as disabled (i.e. anyone with physical, sensory, intellectual, or mental/psychological disabilities — including folks with chronic health issues and those who are neurodivergent!).
