ICONIC: Drag Brunch for Telling Queer History

June 1 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$40

The LGBTQ+ community invented brunch, a time to rehash what happened the night before, enjoy some refreshments, and see each other in the light of day. Join us on Saturday June 1st for this time-honored tradition! Learn about LGBTQ+ history through the art of drag performances – and get this – YOU are invited to arrive dressed up too! Which LGBTQ+ icon would you dress as? Get as bold as you dare and embody them. Your name tag will leave a space for your name and pronouns, and your icon’s name. Enjoy brunch food that includes vegan, gluten free, and nut- and dairy-free brunch options, plus non-alcoholic drinks (a mocktail bar!) and of course, plenty of coffee- a must for brunch!! Bring dollars for the performers and for the nourishing work of Telling Queer History, which connects LGBTQ+ people across generations and identities through storytelling to foster compassion, empathy and healing. Oh yes: there will be time to meet people, dance, gaze shyly from across the room. There will be an auction full of fab experiences and items. There will also be a sensory-friendly quiet space. As always with TQH, this event will be ASL interpreted and substance-free. This event is open to all ages. Keep in mind that some drag performers may be taking off clothes and loving on their beautiful queer bodies.

Note: Prospect Park Neighborhood – Full location disclosed to Ticket Purchasers Only
